Personal profile
Research interests
Dr Xianwu Zeng received his MSc and PhD at the University of Manchester between 2009 and 2014. He had a broad industry experience in power converter design. He was a lead power electronics engineer in GE grid solution before, and was responsible to design valve unit for HVDC projects. He was also involved in several automotive projects including kW level DC-DC converter, inverter. The product he designed is currently used by high brand such as McLaren.
His principle research interests include power electronics, motor drives, hybrid electric vehicles, and renewable energy interface systems.
Willing to supervise doctoral students
Dr Vincent Zeng is a member of Powertrain and Vehicle Research Centre (PVRC) and the Institute for Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) which are the leading research organzation on electric propulsion system in UK. Candidates interested in a PhD in Power Electronics and Machine Drive may directly email their CV.
