Personal profile

Research interests

Cultured meat; cell culture media; metabolomics; environmental impact; sustainability; bioreactor design; cell biology; nutrition.

I am undertaking a PhD at the University of Bath, using metabolomics techniques to support the development of serum-free culture media formulation(s) with reduced environmental impact for cultured meat production.

I am excited by the many potential benefits of cultured meat, including for to become a more sustainable alternative to traditional meat, and enjoy being part of this rapidly growing field of research. I think my love of sport feeds my broad interest in cell biology and nutrition and I look forward to bringing a chemical engineering perspective to this biologically-focussed field.
