I teach Chinese-English translation as part of the MA programmes in Interpreting and Translation at Bath. At undergraduate level, I oversee courses in Mandarin language and Chinese culture and history for students in Politics, Languages and International Studies.
I am a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (Religious Studies) and the University of Bath (Translation), a 2011 Cambridge University Rajiv Gandhi scholar and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
I continue to work as a Chinese translator in the UK, and maintain xinyizhe.xyz (新译者, The New Translator), an independent website which publishes translations of primary historical sources from late imperial and early modern China.
