Research interests
Teslim is an Associate Professor and serves as the University’s Race Equality Charter (REC) Lead and Chair of the REC University Self-Assessment Team (USAT). He is a Professor (visiting) at FUTA, Fellow of the Association for Project Management (FAPM), Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the UK. Teslim also holds governance roles as a member of Senate, Council, and Court. He was honoured with the Dean’s Award for Community and Inclusion (2025) and the University Award for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (2023). Previously, he served as Director of Studies for International Exchanges.
His expertise is centred around project management, operations and supply chain management, public sector management and pedagogical research in higher education. He demonstrates a combination of quality teaching informed by strong links to practice (i.e. industry, professional bodies and public/private sector organisations) and internationalisation (via exchanges etc), which greatly enhance students' experience, employability and entrepreneurship skills.
Prior to joining Bath, he has managed programmes, pioneered UK HEI innovations like apprenticeship and capstone. He’s held various management and teaching roles in colleges and universities across the UK, managed academic standards, quality and improved pedagogy in these institutions. Teslim has been a corporate trainer for senior government officers from Commonwealth countries such as the World Bank, Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Petroleum Commission Ghana, Kenyan NGOs, Procurement, and Inland Revenue corporations).
Teslim's research and consultancy interests are versatile but interrelated. He mentors, supervises, chairs and examines doctoral research works; currently has several PhD/DBA completions, and numerous MBA/MSc/MA, UG and apprenticeship supervisions. He enjoys taking students on this interesting research journey! He was external examiner to different universities including University of Manchester's Leading complex projects, programmes and portfolios, Hult International Business School, external panel member Coventry University for MBA franchise programme at Oman, and assessor for DBA programme at University West of Scotland. He has published and reviewed for several journals and conferences such as: International Journal of Project Management (IJPM), Journal of Business Logistics (JBL), Public Management Review (PMR), Studies in Higher Education, as well as Academy of Management (AoM), EurOMA, POMS, BAM, Advance-HE conferences, and as ESRC research grant reviewer.
As Founder of ReadCycle Bath, Teslim leads a university-wide initiative that mobilises donated books and learning resources to advance sustainability, educational access, and global social impact across universities and communities in Africa and beyond.
