Research interests
Teslim is an Associate Professor and the University's Race and Equality Charter Lead. He's a Fellow of Association of Project Management (FAPM), Fellow Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the UK. He is a member of Senate, Council and Court. His expertise is centred around project management, operations and supply chain management, public sector management and pedagogical research in higher education. He demonstrates a combination of quality teaching informed by strong links to practice (i.e. industry, professional bodies and public/private sector organisations) and internationalisation (via exchanges etc), which greatly enhance students' experience, employability and entrepreneurship skills.
Teslim was the Director of Studies for International Exchanges working with a committed team to deliver quality exchange experiences for several incoming and outgoing students across numerous universities in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America.
Specifically, he specialises in coordinating and supporting students on consulting projects across MNCs versus SMEs, and public vs private sector organisations. Prior to joining Bath, he has managed programmes, pioneered UK HEI innovations like apprenticeships and capstones. He’s held various management and teaching roles in colleges and universities across the UK, managed academic standards, quality and improved pedagogy in these institutions. Teslim has been a corporate trainer for senior government officers from Commonwealth countries such as the World Bank, Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Petroleum Commission Ghana, Kenyan NGOs, Procurement, and Inland Revenue corporations) on Procurement, Strategic ICT in curbing public corruption, Fraud detection and other courses that would improve their public service delivery.
His research and consultancy interests are versatile but interrelated [as shown below]. He is a contributor to his field and judge at the Association of Project Management Festival of Education and Research Awards 2020. Teslim mentors, supervises, chairs and examines doctoral research works; currently has several PhD/DBA completions, and numerous MBA/MSc/MA, UG and apprenticeship supervisions. He enjoys taking students on this interesting research journey! He is external examiner to different universities including University of Manchester - Leading complex projects, programmes and portfolios etc, external panel member Coventry University - MBA franchise programme at Oman, and assessor for DBA programme at University West of Scotland. He has reviewed/reviewing for several journals such as: International Journal of Project Management (IJPM), Public Management Review (PMR), Administration & Society etc, Academy of Management (AoM), EurOMA, POMS, BAM, Advance-HE conferences, and as ESRC research grant reviewer.
