Research interests
The evolving retail environment, fashion systems and consumer behaviour.
I am interested in exploring qualitative approaches regarding the consumer decision making process, and how traditional retail formats are converging with wholesale, editorial and digital marketing.
Teaching interests
An experienced and adaptable lecturer, writer and consultant; able to utilise 27 years of fashion industry experience to teach across a wide variety of marketing and business management topics. I enjoy using my industry experience to contextualise theory, having worked at every market level across all retail channels in the U.K., and internationally across multi-product categories.
Previous industry roles in category and sales management, marketing, product design, retail management and visual merchandising help fuel and support current teaching practise. A creative and forward-thinking strategist adept at shaping new projects and roles, by leveraging senior management experience with industry leading brands, including Nike and Ugg Australia.
Teaching specialisms are Marketing, Brand Management (Strategy, Development and Communication), Consumer Behaviour, Retail Environment, Buying and Merchandising and New Trends in Business Management. I am also interested in student employability and industry skills.
Other responsibilities
External projects- supporting new business development in Retail Research and Executive Education.
