After obtaining his PhD, Tamas did his postdoctoral research in Physical Chemistry at Florida State University and Brandeis University in the USA, before moving to the University of Leeds on a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship. Prior to joining the University of Bath, he was a Research Associate in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Sheffield and a teaching fellow in Physical Chemistry in the School of Chemistry at the University of Birmingham.
His main research interest is designing chemical systems capable of mimicking rhythmic concentration changes, signal amplification, threshold sensing, toggle switching, quorum sensing and pattern formation seen in Biology.
