Research interests
Dr. Simona Montagnana is a Senior Lecturer in Economics. Prior to joining the University of Bath, she has worked as an teaching fellow at the University of Bristol (UK) and a public policy advisor in regional and national policy institutions in Italy.
Simona obtained her PhD degree in Economics of Production and Development from University of Insubria - Italy. Previously she studied development economics at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid - Spain (1999-2001).
Simona's main research interests are in the area of industrial organisation, microeconomics and public policy.

Simona is Director of Studies of MSc Applied Economics and MSc Applied Economics with Banking and financial Markets programmes (both on-campus and online streams)
