Personal profile
Research interests
Dr Hussain was awarded a PhD in Human Genetics from King’s College London before completing his postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge. His current research aims to understand how aspects of mRNA transcriptome plasticity can shape biological outcomes such as those associated with inherited neurodevelopmental disorders and learning difficulties. Molecular investigations in his laboratory currently centre on developing and applying next generation DNA/RNA sequencing-based methodologies, while relevant transgenic and genome-edited models are employed for in vivo studies.
