C. Scott Cahill is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering and is an instructor within the March Year 1 Design Studio. Scott also runs Architecture Assembly, an emerging London based architectural consultancy which assists in the development and resolution of innovative design proposals. Previously Scott worked for a commercial practice as the Project Director on many large scale projects in the UK, the Middle East and Russia. Prior to working in London Scott was employed by offices in Chicago and Boston.
Scott’s design approach seeks to blend contextual concerns with innovative formal and material solutions and he often employs sophisticated generative modelling techniques where relevant. He uses advanced tools to link complexity of form with the evolving design documentation to enable a seamless exchange of information between the design team and fabricators. He works closely to implement these design projects in collaboration with highly skilled consultant teams.
Scott received his Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University and an MA from the Architectural Association. He is a licensed architect in the United States.
