Personal profile

Research interests

My PhD is focused on investigating the development and evaluation of alcohol public health interventions in the context of health inequalities. My aim is to investigate how best to communicate tailored public health messages around alcohol for lower socioeconomic position groups, in collaboration with Bath & North East Somerset Council Public Health team. This research aims to inform health promotion interventions that effectively target health inequalities. My PhD is supervised by Dr Charlotte Dack (University of Bath), Dr Andrew Weyman (University of Bath), and Dr Sally Adams (University of Birmingham), and is funded by the University Research Studentship Award.

Previously I worked as a Research Assistant on research investigating the commercial determinants of health and tobacco industry influence on public health policy, in the Tobacco Control Research Group at the University of Bath. Consequently, my wider interests are in psychological approaches to tackling public health issues caused by wider determinants of health (e.g. social and commercial determinants).
