Advanced Functional Materials Design: nanomaterials synthesis such as metal, metal oxides, carbon-based materials, layer double hydroxides, halide perovskites, metal-organic framework, and composite nanostructures.

Surface & Interface Science and Engineering: band-structure alignment, charge dynamics studies, reaction intermediate & mechanism studies.

Heterogeneous Catalysis and Reaction Engineering for Clean Energy and Environment: solar fuels production from water splitting, CO2 reduction, and biomass. Environmental remediation; liquid and gas phase pollutants degradation.
