Advanced Functional Materials: nanomaterials synthesis such as metal, metal oxides, carbon-based materials, layer double hydroxides, perovskites, metal-organic framework, and composite nanostructures.

Fundamental Chemistry: surface & interface, band-structure alignment, charge dynamics studies, reaction intermediate & mechanism.

Photo(electro)catalysis for Energy and Environment: Renewable energy; solar fuels from water splitting and CO2 reduction, and solar-Biofuels from photochemcal biomass conversion. Environmental remediation; liquid and gas phase pollutants degradation.
