Personal profile

Research interests

I am interested in studying how research is carried out and disseminated.

I have been exploring systems to govern the quality of healthcare evidence (for example, here and here), university-industry collaboration, and academic attitudes towards delivering socio-economic impact (see here and here).

Before joining academia, I worked in industry for seven years, acquiring professional knowledge in business analytics, market research and consulting.

I hold a PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Imperial College Business School and an MSc in Industrial Management Engineering from the University of Padova.

I serve as an advisory editor on the editorial board of Research Policy and have collaborated on projects with Cochrane, Innovate UK, and the West of England Academic Health Science Network (now the Health Innovation Network).

Teaching interests

I am currently teaching at postgraduate level across the Innovation and Technology Management MSc, Entrepreneurship and Management MSc and Entrepreneurship Management and Innovation online MSc.

I have also co-designed the Introduction to Innovation in Healthcare MOOC, a FREE four-week course from the University of Bath and the West of England AHSN.
