Research interests
Ms Rosa Calbet joined the Department as a Spanish Teaching Fellow in 2005.
After graduating from Queen Mary (University of London) in Hispanic Studies and Linguistics, she completed an RSA dip in Teaching Spanish Language and went on to a Masters in Management of Language Learning.
For ten years she worked as a setter, examiner, and moderator of Spanish and Catalan language exams for the Foreign Office (Diplomatic Service) and for the Home Office. She was also a Spanish language examiner and moderator for AQA Examining Board for nine years. Currently, she is an External Examiner for Spanish at a leading UK University.
Rosa Calbet has also taught at the University of Exeter, the University of Bristol, and the Open University. She maintains strong links with the Open University through collaboration of an online course.
She currently coordinates the Spanish Language unit in the second year, and the second and final year of the Spanish Language for International Management and Modern Languages (IMML).
