Profile:

Dr Jones is a research associate in laser based fluid measurement systems in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath. Robin started studying an MSci degree in Physics at the University of Birmingham in 2008. In 2010, Robin was employed by the Nanoscale Physics Research Laboratory, University of Birmingham to study atomic cluster source technology. Robin went on to start a PhD in experimental aerodynamics of biplane and tandem wings in 2012 at the University of Bath. On completion, Robin was employed on EPSRC and Siemens projects to develop optical instrumentation for turbomachinery research at the University of Bath.

Research:

Robin's current research interests are in optical measurement techniques, experimental turbomachinery research and unsteady aerodynamics.
