My principal research interests are in the Social Mobility, Ageing and Health. 

The methods I use in my research work involve microeconometrics (applied data analysis).

My personal research has featured in leading international economics journals, the front pages of national, international newspapers, The Economist and invited contributions to leading outlets such as the Economics Observatory and The Conversation. I have contributed to reports released by government departments in the UK, the OECD and continue to engage with such organisations on an ad-hoc basis. 

Current research is in the areas of: 

-Wealth and social mobility in the UK

- The role of biomarkers in explaining socioeconomic outcomes

- Ageing and labour supply

Teaching interests

I am responsible for teaching and leading undergraduate and postgraduate modules in addition to carrying out academic research and scholarly activities.
