Research interests
I am a Lecturer of Accounting at the University of Bath. Formerly, I held academic positions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Dissertation Supervisor at the University of Glasgow, as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Teesside University and professional accountancy positions in the private sector in Sri Lanka.
My scholarly research interests align with Social and Environmental Accounting, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Rights and Accountability, Contemporary Issues in Accounting, Microfinance, SME’s Financing, Ethnic Minority Financing and Social Entrepreneurship. I am actively engaged in research activities and local and international project dissemination across various disciplines; involved with local communities, SMEs, public and private sector organisations.
Teaching interests
I have teaching experience in the UK higher education sector with an especial focused on mainstream Financial Accounting and Reporting. My work provides a useful link between Business and Accounting, encouraging research and teaching collaborations.
