Research interests

Rachael graduated from the University of Bristol with a first class degree in Chemistry. After joining the Centre for Sustainable and Circular Technologies in 2018, Rachael completed a MRes course in Sustainable Chemical Technologies. Following a successful research project investigating the detection of synthetic cannabinoids using synthetic and analytical methods, Rachael continued on to a PhD in the Pudney group.

 

Research interests:

  • Detection of Synthetic Cannabinoids using Fluorescence
  • Point-of-care Detection of Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS)
  • Monitoring NPS in the European Drug Market
