Research interests

I am a PhD student with research interests and working experience focused on various areas of industrial mathematics. In the PhD project I try to understand limitations and inaccuracies of various approaches to flood modelling. This topic was inspired by problems faced by the Environmental Agency in flood estimation methods used when only limited hydrologic data is available.

At the same time I regularly attend study groups with industry. They are week long workshops during which industrial scientists work alongside academic mathematicians on problems of direct industrial relevance.

Apart from research interests for year I have been involved in science popularisation by running educational programmes for school students and taking part in various educational events. Currently, I am a member of Bathematicians group and an Outreach Ambassador.
