Research interests


Dr Paulo Rocha has a Licenciatura degree in Systems and Informatics, a Master degree in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering and a PhD degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Algarve, Portugal with a scholarship by the prestigious Dutch Polymer Institute in Eindhoven, The Netherlands  

Before joining the University of Bath in November 2016, he was a post-doctoral researcher at the world leading research institute Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany in the Department of Molecular Electronics. 


Paulo is interested in the fabrication and electrical characterisation of thin film electronic devices such as field effect transistors, diodes and MIS capacitor structures.  His research focus in the interaction between electronic devices and living cells.
