Personal profile

Research interests

My prime area of research is in the follow-up of gamma ray bursts (GRBs) and their host galaxies. GRBs are incredibly energetic events that can be seen out to very far distances. The undeniable link between long GRBs and massive stars thus makes them effective and unique probes of the interstellar properties of star forming galaxies in the young Universe.

In addition to GRBs, I am also interested in other stellar transient phenomena, such as superluminous supernovae and kilonovae, the process of galaxy evolution, and the build up of heavy elements and dust throughout the Universe.
