Personal profile
Research interests
As part of Ocean REFuel team at University of Bath and Cardiff University, my current work involves understanding of public perceptions and attitudes towards the use of hydrogen- and ammonia–containing systems as potential future energy storage and fuels in industrial and domestic applications as key elements for the transition to renewable energies.
My previous research explores the human dimensions of energy and environmental issues and their intersection with extreme weather events. My earlier work investigates how socio-psychological factors are associated with public preferences for energy, food, and water resource management policies in the American West, while another research stream explores the impacts of extreme weather events on disaster preparedness, community helping behaviors, and support for mitigation and adaptation policies.
Teaching interests
With over a decade of university teaching experience in both the United States and Pakistan, I have had the privilege of educating a diverse range of students. My teaching journey includes both on-campus and online courses at Oregon State University, USA, and GC University, Pakistan. I have taught courses on research methods, public administration, Middle East politics, and various introductory subjects in public policy, political philosophy, constitutions, and foreign policy. My passion lies in fostering critical thinking and engaging students in meaningful discussions that bridge theory and practice.
