Research interests

I am a Clinical Psychologist practising and researching primarily in the area of OCD and complex trauma. My research aims to understand whether having a history of childhood trauma affects later experience of and treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). In relation to this I am interested in the role of relational trauma (such as betrayal or abuse) and experience  of later mental health problems.

I have additional research interests in the role of the Nearest Relative in the Mental Health Act.

Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
