Research interests

Focusing on developing, implementing and evaluating performance and behavioural interventions to improve military fitness, musculoskeletal health and psychosocial wellbeing in Royal Navy and Royal Marines populations. Part of of the Royal Navy Musculoskeletal Injury Mitigation Programme (RN MMP).

The RN MMP, led by the Institute of Naval Medicine (INM), aims to support Sailor and Royal Marines’ health and performance through: developing an organisational MSKI risk screening model; providing education and training to promote optimum through-career musculoskeletal health to mitigate future MSKI risk; and – in personnel who suffer a MSKI – supporting effective and efficient management of rehabilitation and recovery back to Service.
