Research interests

In broad terms my research interests relate to international business strategy and corporate social irresponsibility (CSR) and, corporate social irresponsibility (CSI).

My current research agenda relates to how the attributes of firms’ upper echelons (UE) shape organisational outcomes. Specifically, I’m interested in exploring the role played by specific characteristics of the firms’ UEs in transmitting tax aggressiveness and CSR norms. Other current areas of interest include multinational’s environmental performance, investigation of stakeholders’ judgements of corporate social irresponsibility and exploration of a system of democratised philanthropy. Prior research sought to provide economic analysis of corporate social responsibility in the context of multinational corporations and formal economic analysis to topics in International Business.

My work is published in leading management journals, such as the Journal of Management Studies, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Business Ethics Quarterly.

An economist by training, I hold BA (Hons), MA, and PhD degrees in economics from University College Dubin, Ireland.
