Research interests

Through exploiting real world data sets to tackle relevant industrial and/or inter-disciplinary problems, I look to contribute to shared mathematical knowledge. Specific research interests include: the relative merits of – and the intersection between - stochastic and deterministic modeling, collective dynamics, and cyclical behaviour. 

I have worked on a range of industrial mathematical problems, from analysing the decision making of chickens in commercial farms to modelling the risk of insurance losses due to extreeme weather events. My applied mathematical expertise includes statistical modelling, dynamical systems, probability and stochastic analysis.
