Leah Murphy joined the CPPM in 2019. Her PhD focusses on fabricating optical fibres. She is particularly interested in novel antiresonant hollow-core fibre fabrication and developing fibre fabrication techniques.
Prior to her PhD, Leah carried out her Masters research at the Institut Laue-Langevin in Grenoble, studying materials which could be used to construct temperature-sensitive microcapsules for drug delivery.
Leah’s PhD is under the supervision of James M Stone.
