Leah graduated with a Master’s degree in physics from the University of Bath in 2019. This included a Master’s research project at the Institut-Laue Langevin in France, in which neutron reflectometry and laser ellipsometry were used to investigate microcapsules for targeted drug delivery.
Leah joined the CPPM in 2019 as part of the Proteus interdisciplinary research collaboration. For her PhD project, Leah aims to create hollow-core optical fibres for tissue ablation, as well as to investigate the therapeutic uses of light. Leah’s PhD is under the supervision of Jim Stone, and funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
