Research interests
Laura completed her MSc in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Padova. During her MSc she did an internship at the University of Bath and she undertook a research project investigating spatial memory and orientation and the impact of a multisensory GPS, using a Virtual Reality environment. She is interested in the study of perception and cognition, and their application in the social, health, and environment fields for improving people’s well-being. Especially fascinated by human interaction with new technology to inform the design and enhance user experience. Focused on the development of innovative tools that do not replace human capabilities but cooperate to increase them. Enthusiastic about innovative experimental approaches, such as the use of Virtual reality. She is now part of the AAPS CDT to research human factors for user experience and adoption of autonomated vehicles.
