Personal profile
Research interests
My research focuses on corporate responsibility/sustainability and, from a macro, meso and micro perspective, analyses how companies address contemporary pressures for sustainable business conduct. From a macro perspective, I focus on the political role companies have undertaken due to globalization and neo-liberalism, and analyse how the contemporary political environment impacts corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies. From a meso perspective, I investigate how companies use governance frameworks, such as sustainability standards, or popular concepts, such as circular economy and responsible innovation, to integrate sustainability in their operations. From a micro perspective, I am interested in understanding how certain individuals, such as consultants, business owners and CEOs, influence the development, implementation and success of corporate sustainability strategies. My research in these areas contributes to a wide range of literatures and has practical implications for managers, investors and policymakers seeking to influence the creation of economic, environmental and social value.
Willing to supervise doctoral students
I welcome enquiries from potential PhD students in the broad areas of corporate responsibility and corporate sustainability.
