Kenneth Nai

Profile

Kenneth Nai received the BSc Degree (First Class Honours) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and Doctorate Degree from Loughborough University in 1990 and 1994 respectively.

He was employed by Renishaw PLC from 1995 to 2024 where as a Principal Engineer, lead teams of multi-discipline engineers in developing and bringing to market new products in the field of Metrology systems, Neuro-surgical Robotics and Selective Laser Melt Metal Powder 3D printers.  He was also engaged in numerous EPSRC funded research projects with UK universities and was external supervisor to over 10 Doctorate students.

He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Visiting Industrial Fellow at the University of Bath since 2022.  He is listed as an inventor on over 10 U.S. Patents, and as co-author on numerous publications in the field of Selective Laser Melt Metal Powder 3D printers.
