Personal profile

Research interests

With a discipline background in sport pedagogy and teacher education, which hold at their core a commitment to developing effective relationships of one type or another, I am interested in exploring the relationships we have with the idea of leadership and its practice in educational settings. Through the critical exploration of educational leadership practices we can learn an incredible amount about those who lead, those who are being led, and the effective attainment of educational outcomes. Furthermore, by studying the leadership practices of those operating in other sectors and climates, it can be argued that a more evolved understanding of effective leadership practice can ensue. It is this intersection of leadership comparison and contrast that peaks my research interest the most.
