Katie is an EPSRC-funded PhD researcher in Cybersecurity (TIPS at Scale), focusing on the intersection of privacy, security, and family online banking. Her research explores whether the current design of family banking apps effectively meets the privacy and security needs of families from a socio-technical perspective. With a background in psychology, she is particularly interested in user-informed research that examines real-world behaviours and challenges.

Graduate Teaching Assistant
Katie has several years of experience supporting undergraduate teaching, contributing to both Developmental Psychology and Forensic Psychology modules. Her responsibilities include seminar delivery, student support, and assessments. She integrates her insight on the influence of technology on young people and family dynamics to enhance learning and discussion.
