Research interests

Katie is a Research Assistant at the University of Bath. She is a recent graduate of the University of Bath in which she achieved an MRes in Psychology. Her main research interests involve the online sexual grooming of children and technology-assisted sexual abuse. For example, for her master’s dissertation, she explored the methods and strategies used by perpetrators to overcome victim resistance. Katie also has a Psychology and Criminology degree from Swansea University, where she explored how the victim’s gender can influence the strategies implemented by online sexual offenders, within online sexual grooming.
