Personal profile
Teaching interests
I am involved in teaching pharmacy practice to all undergraduate year groups. This includes communication and consultation skills to first years, dispensing workshops, clinical workshops and responding to symptoms workshops to second year and dispensing workshops and dissertation projects to third years.
I also teach on the very popular “Developing clinical communication and consultation skills in pharmacy practice” optional module for final year students and am involved in inter-professional learning for all years of our undergraduate programme. In addition I mark and teach on some of our postgraduate diploma and non-medical prescribing courses.
I work part time at the University, combining this role with my role as the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education tutor for Bath, working for BaNES Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) as a sessional support pharmacist in a local GP surgery alongside regular community pharmacy work. In addition I am a qualified non-medical prescriber specialising in hypertension.
