Personal profile

Research interests

I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Organisation Studies at the University of Bath, School of Management. I am interested in exploring careers in a variety of contexts, including professionals in the area of consultancy and academia as well as former apprentices in the respective professional context. Current research interests include theorising careers from a relational perspective as well as career changes and their impact on individuals and organisations. As a member of the Cross-Cultural Collaboration on Contemporary Careers (5C) I explore how careers are socially constructed in different cultural contexts. Furthermore, I am interested in research about workplace representation of knowledge workers and their collective organisation.

Willing to supervise doctoral students

I welcome PhD proposals from applicants who would like to study aspects of careers and work in professional service organisations and in the context of higher education, as well as the diversity of careers across organisational contexts and cultures.
