Research interests

Karolina Pakėnaitė is a Postgraduate Student in Computer Science at the University of Bath. Her research focuses on using Computer Vision techniques, such as neural networks to find salient objects, and create tactile images for the Visually Impaired community. She received her MSci in Mathematics with a Year in Computer Science at the University of Birmingham. She is deaf-blind herself and was shortlisted for Campaigner of the Year at the Sense 2020 awards for her work raising awareness of people living with complex disabilities.
