Research interests

Karin Silver is Deputy Editor of TobaccoTactics, part of the Tobacco Control Research Group at the University of Bath and a partner in the global tobacco industry watchdog STOP.

Karin has 15 years of research and evaluation experience, largely in social policy and applied health research at the University of Bath, as well as consultancy on a range of national and community engagement projects.

She currently investigates and writes about the tobacco industry - its products, activities and allies, and the tactics used to interfere with and undermine public health policy.

As well as working with documents and public facing media, she is experienced in qualitative, participatory and creative research methods.
