Teaching interests

Following my study of molecular and cellular science to PhD level, I trained to become a Secondary Science teacher, subsequently working in secondary schools as Head of Key Stage 3 Science then Assistant Head of Department. I then moved to the University of Bath to work in the Centre for Learning and Teaching as a Curriculum Development Officer before transferring to the Education department and taking on my current position as a Lecturer.

I teach Science Education at undergraduate level as well as Assessment at Masters level. I supervise MA Education Dissertation students related to my key areas of interest: curriculum development, assessment for learning and science education, all with a focus on how to apply theory to practice.

Other responsibilities

I am co-Director of Studies for BA(Hons) Education with Psychology and lead curriculum development for this course.
