Research interests

Julia Kashdan-Brown has been a Teaching Fellow and Studio Tutor since 2009 for Years 1, 4 and 6 and was Year 3 Design Studio Coordinator from 2012 to 2013.

Julia now teaches in years 3 and 4 and provides student placement support.

Julia is co-founder of Kashdan Brown Architecture & Urban Design (KBAUD), established with Architect husband Julian Kashdan-Brown, bringing together combined expertise from architectural design, artist collaborations and urban design and development appraisal skills.  Julia was previously a Partner at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios LLP where she worked for 21 years.

Julia has expertise in a wide range and scale of building types across several sectors, with specific experience in arts-related buildings, involving close liaison with artists and local communities. Julia is also a printmaker.
