Research interests

My research interests cover energy demand reduction and sustainable energy supply, both approached from a wide, whole-systems, perspective. This area of research includes resource efficiency and industrial ecology.

My current research involves an assessment of the energy vectors (e.g. electricity, heat, fuels) that could be produced from bioenergy grown on contaminated land. This project is part of the Supergen Bioenergy Hub. Previous to this project I was part of the Centre for Industrial Energy, Materials and Products (CIEMAP), analysing opportunities along product supply chains that ultimately deliver a reduction in industrial energy use.

Fingerprint Fingerprint is based on mining the text of the person's scientific documents to create an index of weighted terms, which defines the key subjects of each individual researcher.
