Personal profile

Research interests

I am interested in parents’ engagement with their children’s learning, broadly understood – this includes how such engagement may impact on the attainment gap, as well as the sociological issues around such engagement.  I am also interested in the place of faith, and family belief, both in general and in relation to parental engagement in learning.

In relation to school leadership and management, I am particularly interested in teachers’ continuing professional development.

Willing to supervise PhD

I would be happy to discuss supervision of doctoral work aligned to any of my research interests.
