Research interests

I am broadly interested in social and environmental influences on health behaviour, particularly alcohol and food consumption. This includes:

  • portion and packaging size
  • alcohol strength
  • warning labels and advertising
  • stigma related to heavy drinking and weight.

I have used a wide range of methods to study these topics, including:

  • laboratory and field experiments
  • eye-tracking
  • online surveys
  • secondary analysis of large datasets
  • interviews and focus groups
  • documentary analysis
