Research interests

My research interests fall into fields of applied macroeconomics and financial econometrics, especially monetary policy, inflation targeting, energy economics, fiscal policy, quantitative easing, innovation, employment, foreign direct investment and pedagogy of economics. My research is mainly quantitative and policy-oriented , with particular emphasis on applied macroeconomics, time series and panel data econometrics and monetary policy issues. Outputs have been published in good ranked academic journals such as: International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Applied Energy, Review of quantitative Finance and Accounting, Plos One, Applied Economics, Open Economies Review, Applied Economics Letter.  

I am also a Fellow with the Higher Education Academy (HEA), the IMC Director of Studies of the UG and PG programmes, the Senior Tutor for all PG programmes, the member of departmental Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the member of Econonetrics research group.

I joined the University of Bath in September 2013 as a Lecturer.  Before joining the Department of Economics at Bath, I was employed at the University of Bristol and at the University of Leicester.

I obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Leicester, Department of Economics. I also hold a MSc Economics and have been  awarded the Gold Medal for MSc excellence.
