Research interests

Dr Hernando Gil’s research interests lie in the field of power systems reliability, modelling and analysis of active distribution networks, and the aggregate impact of smart grid technologies on the quality of power supply. He was awarded with the ‘Basil Papadias’ best paper prize in IEEE PowerTech Conference 2011, and with the ‘IEEE-PES UKRI Chapter’ best presentation award in the 3rd Durham Risk Day 2012.
