Research interests

Huma Javaid is a PhD candidate at University of Bath, School of Management. Her research interests include corporate growth strategies such as mergers and acquisitions. Currently she is engaged in work investigating the influence of corporate venture capital and alliances on the choice of takeover targets and their subsequent impact on post-acquisition innovation performance. She is also interested in how the various entrepreneurial strategies help technology-intensive firms to be more inventive and achieve innovation growth. Another stream of her research focuses on issues related to the choice of make, ally-or-buy. She uses observational data by integrating large datasets which are analysed in STATA using advanced econometric models. Her scholarly research work is supported by various scholarships and awards.

Teaching interests

Her teaching interests are mainly strategy and quantitative research methods in business and management.
