Personal profile

Research interests

My research focuses on how skeletal muscle metabolism is regulated
with a particular interest in biological rhythms, ageing, and how different tissues in the body communicate with each other. I study how factors such as sleep, meal timing, and daily routines influence muscle health and overall metabolism, and how these relationships change as we age. A key part of my work explores how fat tissue and muscle interact, especially in the context of metabolic health and inflammation. Ultimately, I aim to understand how lifestyle and nutrition can be used to maintain muscle function and support healthy metabolism in both healthy individuals and clinical populations.
