Gillian Peskett

Gillian has been a practicing Architect in the residential and education sectors since 2009. She founded her own London-based practice in 2013, focusing on residential and urban conservation projects. Prior to this she was a Technical Advisor on the BSF and Academy school building programmes at B3 Architects, specialising in design development with environmental analysis, and introducing the first generation of Ecotect building performance modelling software for the award winning Three Ways SEN School in Bath.

After graduating with 1st class honours from the Welsh School of Architecture in 2004, Gillian worked for award winning practices in Canada, South Wales and London. Upon gaining a distinction in her Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (Pt III), Gillian became a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2009.

Since 2015, Gillian has been an External Design Tutor and Design Studio Leader across several UK universities. Her teaching interests include contextualised responses to urban housing regeneration and developing hands-on design analysis skills. To this end, she has delivered workshop based modules: ‘Tools for Designing’ and ‘Crafting Architecture’, and presented annually at Newcastle’s ‘Architect in Practice’ lecture series.
