Research interests

My research focuses on advanced functional oxide materials with applications for energy conversion devices such as fuel cells, electrolyses, and gas permeation membranes, as well as sensors and next generation memory.

Work is carried out experimentally, exploring the relationship between the synthesis/processing, structure/chemistry, and properties of materials, which is investigate through a well-rounded research approach including material fabrication, advanced characterisation, and defect-modelling with a focus on interfaces and surfaces.
