Elena Ahonen has recently joined University of Bath as a research assistant in the Institute for Policy Research. Currently, she working with research projects related to climate change, environmental economics and fiscal policy.
Elena has got her Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Vaasa, Finland. After graduating she has continued her studies in economics at the University of Helsinki. Before joining the University of Bath she has worked for the Finnish Economic Policy Council. She has good experience on applied macroeconometrics, especially Bayesian methods. During her work in the Finnish Economic Policy Council she applied the Bayesian TVC-VAR model for the analysis of the Finnish economy.
Elena’s research interests include fiscal and monetary policy, environmental economics and economic history.
