Research interests

I am interested in how light interacts with matter and enjoy beauty and power of physics. I spend my research time trying to find order in complex equations and obscure data sets. My research focus is on physics of ultrashort pulses  and frequency conversion in nonlinear photonic devices, e.g., optical fibres, and materials, e.g., semiconductors. If you google my research papers you will meet such scientific terms as solitons, supercontinuum, frequency combs, polaritons, vortices, photonic crystals, etc. My place of work and name are associated with the Department of Physics, Centre for Photonics and Photonic Materials and with the Theoretical and Computational Physics group. I like building research connections with colleagues around the World.
